CHECKING IN AND OUT

1. What time can we check in and what time should we check out?Check in time is at any time after 15pm on the day of arrival.
Check out time is at 10am at the day of departure. -
2. My flight leaves late in the day; will it be possible to check-out late?If you wish to retain your room after 10am, please contact the reception. If it is available, you can stay in your room until 17:30 at a charge. If your room is not available, you are always welcome to leave your luggage with us at the reception. This is free of charge.

3. My flight arrives early in the morning; will it be possible to check-in early?If rooms are not occupied at the morning of your arrival, an early check-in may be possible. To guarantee an early check-in, it is necessary to book your room for the previous night as well.

4. My flight arrives late at night; will it be possible to check-in?Our reception closes at 23:59. If your flight arrives later than that, please send us your flight number and estimated arrival time a day before your arrival so we can arrange your late check in.

1. Is wireless internet available at your resort?Yes, wireless internet is available at all rooms and in public areas. Free of charge.

2. Does the resort offer laundry services?We do not offer laundry services.

1. How do I arrange a taxi transfer from the airport/port or from the resort?We can arrange for an airport/port pick up or drop off. This service comes at a charge of 30€. Please contact us to arrange a transfer on your day of arrival or departure.

2. Is it possible to get from the port/airport to Mathraki Resort using public transport?From the airport and port take bus 15 (Airport-Corfu Town-Port, it makes a round and serves both stops) until 'San Rocco Square'. Then take bus 7 (Corfu Town-Dassia) until the stop right in front of the Jet Oil gas station. From here it's a 5 minute walk to Mathraki Resort. Both buses have a frequency of 20-30 minutes. The estimated travel time is 45 minutes.

1. What is the best way to travel around Corfu island?There are many possibilities to discover Corfu. You can rent a scooter or a car, quads and even bikes. From our hotel you can take the bus to Corfu town (bus no 7). The bus stop is a 3 minute walk from the resort. From Corfu town you can find buses going to many villages and beaches.

2. Is it possible to rent a car, scooter of bike with you?We do not offer a rental service ourselves but we do have our partners that we have been working with for many years. Let us know what your are looking for and we will arrange.

Is car parking available at your resort?The use of our parking is free of charge.

1. What kitchen facilities are available in your rooms?A fridge, a water boiler and a hotplate are available in every room.

2. Is it safe to drink water from the tap in Corfu?The tap water in Corfu is not for consuming. (It is save to brush your teeth.) Small and big bottles of water are available at any mini market and supermarket.

3. Are hair dryers available in your rooms?All our apartments come equipped with a hair dryer.

4. Are ironing facilities available at your resort?Ironing facilities are not available at our resort.

5. When were the apartments renovated last?Every year after the summer season is finished we start work on our resort. This means painting and replacing but also adding to our existing resort . All the rooms are as much up to date as possible.

6. Do you offer air condition in your rooms?All our apartments are equipped with an A/C.

7. Is there a safe box in the room?All our apartments are equipped with a safe box.

1. What is the maximum number of guests allowed in a room?Studio: Max. 2 persons
One bedroom apartment: Max 4 persons (5th person*)
Two bedroom apartment: Max 4 persons
Mill: Max. 2 persons
The Maisonette: Max 6 persons
The Cellar: Max 4 persons
Every room can hold a baby-cot. These are available on request and free of charge for direct bookings. For all other bookings the use of a baby-cot comes at a charge.
*The 'one bedroom apartments' can hold an extra-bed, this comes at a charge of €10 per night. -
2. How many rooms does the resort consist off?The resort features 6x studios, 20x apartments, 1x mill, 2x Maisonettes and 1x Cellar.

1. What are the opening hours of the tavern/bar?We open at 8am. Closing hours depend on time in season.

2. Do I need to make reservations if I want to have a meal or breakfast at the tavern?No, this is not necessary.

3. Is breakfast included in the price of my room?No, the breakfast is not included in the price of the apartment.

4. What time is breakfast getting served?Breakfast is getting served from 8am to 10am. Reservations are not necessary.

5. Are special meals available at the tavern?Please inform us when you have special requests such as vegetarian or gluten free dishes or if you suffer from food allergies. Since we always prepare our food with the best and freshest of ingredients we offer many possibilities.

6. Can you stay at your resort on an all inclusive or full board basis?No. In our tavern we serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for the pool. We do not offer packages that include any meals.

1. Are there any supermarkets or bakery's close by?Two minutes down the road is a mini market that offers most of what you need. Here you can also get fresh bread every morning. At about 10 minutes, you will find a supermarket and right under it there is a bakery with a choice of bread and sweets.

2. Are there ATM machines nearby?In the village of Gouvia (about 7 minutes by foot) you will find 2 ATM machines. In Corfu Town (at 8 km from our resort) you will find many more.

3. How far is Mathraki Resort from the beach?We are located at a 10 minute walk from the nearest beach.

1. What facilities does your resort offer for children?Our resort features a children's playground and as well as a small pool for kids. Special children menus are available in our tavern, as well as high chairs.

2. Are baby cots available for the rooms?Baby cots are available on request and free of charge for direct bookings. The use of a baby bed comes at a charge for all other bookings.

3. Are high chairs available in the tavern and in the rooms?Yes. High chairs are available in our tavern. If you would like to have a highchair in your room, please contact us.

1. Is a doctor available at the hotel?We can contact a doctor or hospital at any time.

2. How far is the hospital from your location?The hospital is located at 5 minutes distance (by car) from our resort.

1. Which forms of payment do you accept?We accept Visa and MasterCard cards, bank transfer and cash.

2. Are all the taxes included in the price?Yes, all the taxes are included in the price.

3. What is the cancellation/refund policy?You will receive a 100% refund of deposit if you cancel your booking up to 10 days before arrival.

4. Does my room reservation require any deposit?Sometimes a deposit is required but this depends on your booking. Please contact us for more information.

When are the festivals at Gouvia taking place?The traditional church festival at Gouvia is taking place on the 7th of June every year. The fish festival of Gouvia is taking place in the second half of August.
